While previously unfamiliar with almost all of the material gathered from those well-hunted discs, the Parisian-based producer pulls some magic from their dusty grooves. Tracks like ‘Chop Your Hands’ and ‘Lesson With The Master’ crackle with surface noise, but also stun with breakneck turns and the kind clever, Eastern-minded sound design you won’t hear on most other beat collections
