Detail:
Much like a scientist in the lab, Jan Jelinek breaks up the molecules of jazz tracks and meticulously rearranges them into new original pieces beyond recognition. This is sampling at its finest. Jan Jelinek's Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records was originally released in 2001 on ~scape, existing only as a download. The title is derived from Jelinek's production approach on the album. Its tracks are built around second-long samples sourced from 1960s and 1970s jazz records and manipulated beyond recognition. He produced much of the album using an Ensoniq ASR-10 sampler
