Black vinyl. Playing With Water, Mike Cooper’s latest slice of ambient exotica was inspired by Playing With Water: Passion And Solitude On A Philippine Island, a novel by James Hamilton-Paterson. He says the book describes his album exactly. He has created his soundscapes by using Hawaiian Slack Key and Lap Steel guitar and manipulating the sounds. His 2001 album Globe Notes was been inspired by another of Hamilton Paterson’s other books
